Shipping Policy for Jub Marine Export
Effective Date: October 10, 2025
At Jub Marine Export, we specialize in shipping large and complex marine machinery globally. Our shipping policy is designed to provide clarity on the process, costs, and responsibilities involved in getting your machinery from our facility to your destination.
1. Shipping Terms (Incoterms)
Primary Term (Default)
- Our standard shipping term is Ex-Works (EXW).
- This means the buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for transportation from our facility to the final destination.
- The buyer bears all costs and risks from the moment the goods are loaded onto the first carrier's transport at our warehouse.
Alternative Terms
- Upon request, we can facilitate shipping under other Incoterms such as FOB (Free On Board) or CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight).
- These terms will be explicitly stated and agreed upon in the sales contract.
2. Shipping Process
- Preparation: Once an order is confirmed and payment is received, our team prepares the machinery for shipment, including proper crating, securing, and documentation.
- Logistics Coordination: We provide a detailed shipping quotation from our network of trusted logistics partners.
- Booking: Upon the buyer's approval of the quotation, we will book the shipment with the chosen carrier.
- Loading and Dispatch: The machinery is loaded and dispatched from our facility on the agreed loading date. We will provide the buyer with necessary shipping documents, including the Bill of Lading, packing list, and commercial invoice.
3. Shipping Costs
- Shipping costs are highly variable and depend on the machinery's size, weight, destination, shipping method (e.g., Less than Container Load - LCL, Full Container Load - FCL, Roll-on/Roll-off - RORO), and other factors.
- All shipping and handling costs are the responsibility of the buyer and will be clearly itemized in the final invoice.
4. Customs and Duties
- The buyer is solely responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, and other charges levied by the destination country's customs authorities.
- We will provide the necessary documentation to assist with customs clearance, but we are not responsible for any delays or issues arising from the customs process.
5. Inspection and Claims
- Upon delivery, the buyer or their designated agent must inspect the shipment for visible damage before signing the delivery receipt.
- If damage is found, it must be noted on the carrier's delivery receipt. Photographic or video evidence is crucial.
- Claims for transit damage must be filed with the carrier immediately, and we should be notified within 48 hours of delivery.
6. Tracking
We will provide a tracking number or Bill of Lading number once the shipment is dispatched, allowing the buyer to track the progress of their order online.
Important Note: All shipping arrangements are subject to availability and may be affected by global logistics conditions, port congestion, or force majeure events.
